This beautiful chestnut mare has been an absolute superstar for our daughter, teaching her everything from catching her in the field, grooming, bathing and tacking up, right through to becoming a confident young rider. She has the kindest temperament and adores children, attention, cuddles and kisses. She is a genuine family pony who has been treasured every day.

In her previous home she competed successfully in Pony Club activities and showjumping. With us she has been the ultimate confidence giver, allowing our daughter to learn and enjoy every aspect of pony ownership.

She is a pleasure in every way:

3 good paces and works sweetly on the flat, genuine and straightforward to a fence and happily pops around courses up to 70cm.

Has attended numerous rallies, beach and fun rides. Qualified for Eland Lodge Arena Eventing & Show Jumping Championship and Trailblazers Show jumping Championships with previous home.

Competed in Dressage, SJ, Arena XC and HT competitions and has seen hounds proving to behave impeccably. Hacks alone or in company, great in open spaces and traffic. Good to shoe, box, clip, catch etc.

She can be forward-going if wanted, but is also happy to go steadily. She is not a lead-rein pony, as she genuinely loves her job and enjoys being kept busy.

She is good to clip, load, and for the farrier. All vaccinations and routine care are up to date, and she is regularly wormed.

Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet - that is not an issue.

Greenholme Nelly

Nelly is a rising 7 year old fell pony 13.2 hh, a chunky lad so takes up the leg well, would suit a competent teen or small adult.

Nelly is a sweet boy with a lovely character. He was gelded at age five which has given him beautiful show ring presence and stands out.

Time has been taken with Nelly during his introduction to work, and this really shows as his working attitude is very eager to please within his ridden work. He is a loveable boy on the ground and in the stable. Will hack out alone or in company and is not shy or spooky.

Fab to load, good for farrier/physio etc.

Nelly has been mostly in hand showing so far, which he has shown real promise coming away with ribbons throughout the whole season.

A fab all rounder pony for someone to take and excel, a knowledgable confident rider would be more suitable.

So far in 2026 she has been competing at show jumping events and won most of them, she has also competed at affiliated showing in the BSPS LIHS Performance Pony class.

Fancy competes in SJ up to 60cm and loves it! She has scope to go higher but my daughter has no desire to jump bigger courses. We have owned Fancy for 4 and half years and she is now become very sadly outgrown, but my daughter has grown so much in the past few months and its now time for Fancy to find her new little rider.

Fancy has been solely produced by my daughter who is now 13. She is a forward pony but she is safe.

Fancy has been hugely successful at Sunshine Tour, she is excellent at stay away shows and settles very well and always tries her best, when at shows she definitely goes into show mode.

She has done pony club and attended camp and also mini XC. We also do ‘Liberty’ work with her, she even has a viral video of parking herself at a mounting block.

She moves really well and is really good at being schooled. We believe she would make an excellent WHP.

Fancy absolutely loves hacking, my daughter hacks her out on her own and has done since she was 12, very safe around cars, farm machinery, lorries etc, she enjoys hacking in company and will lead or is happy to be at the back.

Fancy is a yard favourite, she has so much character and always makes us laugh, she is a clever pony and has a little cheeky side. She is fit and healthy and doesn’t have any vices – In April 2023 she had an episode of ulcers which was dealt with promptly and resolved, this was due to her being at a yard with no winter turnout and she was stabled for 6 months. We moved yards straight after this, and she hasn’t had any issues since, for this reason, we would like Fancy to go to a yard that has winter turnout. Full vet records are available.

She is good to load, travel, clip, is stabled at night and out during the day, she wears a muzzle when given extra grass, she does enjoy having field mates but has been turned out on her own in the past.

Up to date with all vaccinations, worming, farrier, dentist and back.

Comes with GP saddle and day to day bridle with Neue Schule bit and a complete set of rugs.
