QUALITY OVER GROWN SECTION D

  • Welsh Section D

  • Absolutely full of presence
  • Backed and began riding away
  • Active, quality paces

Bags of 'look at me' presence and personality.

Welsh parents and a Clydesdale Grandparent. Breeding sadly not recorded but traceable.

Kerys came to A.E Equestrian last year to be lightly backed and then turned away to mature. She didn't take many weeks to get hacking out well.

About weeks ago when Keyrs came back we had a very honest discussion with her owner that whilst Keyrs was progressing well with being restarted she is a very young, green active horse who will take a good year to really settle to ridden life as she would like her, therefore she part exchanged her for another horse, more suitable to her lifestyle and riding confidence.

We think she is fab, she has all the bravado of a Welsh, is a powerful, active and attractive model and is proving trainable.

We believe she will be a fabulous all-rounder in time and excel in all RC areas, maybe working hunter will be her bag!

She needs a competent, knowledgeable home who understand the breed, and can competently educate just backed horses.

She is hacking well and has had a walk, trot and canter in the arena. Last week she did a couple of rears but rode on through this, she is a young horse with a big heart and even bigger personality so needs arson to match this.

Genuine enquiries please. She will carry to her education and hopefully join a fun ride or two in Autumn.

COB THAT CAN

Louis is a super fun quality cob.

He has a very can do attitude to life and being ridden.

He has hunted once which he thoroughly enjoyed and looked the part at! He has been XC schooling, done a little unaff shows and a farm ride.

Louis came to us at A.E Equestrian early this year after his owner didn't feel quite suited to him, he had grown up in a big riding club environment and was considered a novice confidence giver but really he is more active than this. We then sold him to a family with a keen grand-daughter and family but he forgot his ground manners in this small environment and has come back!

All the above really detracts from the fantastic Welsh X cob he is. He hacks well, is great with traffic, pops small fences and might go and pop around local un-aff SJ next week time allowing. He just hasn't found the right people/ set up unfortunately. He really is a true RC/ PC all-rounder go getter! Would be fab for clinics, camps.

On the ground he is super with us. He banged the door on day one and is a bit of an attention seeker, especially if you over treat him, but otherwise he is hard to fault; clipping, shoeing, bathing etc all great. Lives in or out. Doesn't need riding daily etc. Hacks well alone, will ride and lead and regularly nannies young horses.

His flatwork could do with some supplying up but he is very willing and has not really had consistency of late.

Not wasted a present but too good to not be used! We will carry on over the supper and hopefully do a bit of eventing by the end of summer if not sold.

These types are so hard to find.

Too forward for a novice and has quite a Welsh way of going. Would really suit someone wanting to get out and ride and have fun.

OLAF III - 16H approx, 7yo AES gelding. (High Society x Imperial)

An athletic, competition, quality sport horse.

Olaf was bred locally with an aim to produce a 'top end' sports horse. He has numerous relatives competing from grassroots to top level across the disciplines.

Owned from a 3 year old Olaf has been slowly produced over the past 3 years with ourselves at A.E Equestrian on behalf of a caring owner who loves dressage.

Olaf is a modern light stamp with plenty of blood and a forward thinking and going nature. He was bred to jump and shows a good, natural technique which is largely undeveloped due to following a more dressage route so far.

His main focus has been dressage where he has competed to medium, with good results, and is largely training at this level. The lateral work comes easily and his trainer advocates that he will easily go grand prix eventually, with the correct training and person. She believes he has the right attributes and willingness. Another season competing at elementary would suit him well and set him up well for the future.

Olaf is an excellent hack, good in open spaces, to take out, load etc. He has turned his hoof to a number of other things outside dressage such as being placed at the combined training Championships and a handful of unaff SJ and farm rides.

Olaf may suit a professional or amateur home. He enjoys human company and could suit an experienced/ competent teenager.

Olaf is a competition type, he is a very forward, responsive ride and although he always wants to work with you he requires jockey to match this. The ideal rider would be light and effective and adapt to the horse underneath them. He is sensitive yet genuine. To jump he can get keen.

We would love to seem him flourish on with his competitive career or enjoy a varied life with someone competent.

Things to mention;
- needs sedating to clip.
- needs holding for the farrier.
- Custom made Childric dressage saddle available by separate negotiation.
- He loves other horses and happily lives out wih others.
We are proud of how Olaf has grown as a horse and are motived to find a super home for him.

ROVERLUS

Just One (Toulon, Heartbreaker) x Toverla (Papillon Rouge)
17.1/2 approx, 5yo jump bred gelding.

A quality, upstanding, big gelding with all the attributes to match his GB team relatives.

We can't speak highly enough of this gelding at A.E Equestrian, he just oozes quality. Quality in his presence, paces and a trainable, willing attitude.

He has been quietly loose jumped twice showing a natural technique and good attitude to the fences.

His paces are naturally balanced, uphill and rythmical with an excellent hind leg. Although bred to jump he really could excel across the disciplines.

Rover was backed very lightly as a 4yo and then turned away for another year to allow him time to mature physically and with his future in mind.

He has come back to ridden life very easily and has a very kind, willing, trainable nature. He feels physically strong and ready to get going properly.

He gives a lovely, powerful feel under saddle and although he is still very green in his education, he gives the feeling everything will come very easily to him.

THIS HORSE COULD EASILY BE A TOP HORSE OR AN AMATEURS DREAM.

Horses of this quality, breeding and nature are hard to come by.

Owned since a foal, his owner is keen to see him in a kind, competent home.
No novices, he is big and green. He is hacking and has walked in the arena once so far.

Open to viewings and vettings.

He has no clinic history.

Video available on our facebook page - A.E Equestrian.

We would be more than happy to continue his education here at A.E Equestrian.

MSJ Thunderball

De Niro x Totilas

17.1 approx, 5yo gelding.

Olympic parentage, excellent confirmation and a very trainable nature.

Thor oozes presence, has a wonderful attitude and a willingness to please.

He is offered to the very best of homes and would be an asset to a professional or amateur. His breeding and quality lean towards a dressage career but he could equally succeed across all disciplines.

Thor has been bought up slowly and mindfully, with longevity in mind. He has done inhand work, and is lovely and respectful to be around.
He was lightly backed last year and has come back into work quietly and easily over the last 2 months.

His paces and rythmic, balanced and supple with so much more to come. He has attended a couple of flatwork sessions and showed great trainability.

He hacks out well, enjoys pole work and has popped a fence willingly.

Currently barefoot and turned out with others.

A quality, unspoilt horse ready to progress. The world is his oyster at present so the very best of homes only please. We would love to see him flourish, be it up the dressage levels or enjoyed in an amateur home.

Genuine enquiries only please. Sad but necessary sale for his owner. Home important.

Open to vettings etc.
