Pie is a seriously exciting young Irish Sport Horse with all the attributes to progress through the levels in eventing and beyond. A modern, quality type with presence, athleticism and a genuinely trainable brain — the sort very hard to find and hugely sought after in today’s market.

By the well regarded stallion Democrat, whose breeding combines some of the most influential Irish bloodlines including Clover Hill and King of Diamonds, both renowned for producing genuine performance horses with scope, bravery and versatility. Pie very much reflects this pedigree, combining quality movement with an exceptional jump and an outstanding attitude towards his work.

A horse with three expressive paces, naturally balanced movement and an uphill way of going. He has done plenty of British Dressage as a young horse to establish his flatwork and gain valuable exposure, consistently achieving impressive scores of 68–69% at Prelim and Novice level. Recently BS registered and already proving to be an exciting prospect over a fence, comfortably jumping around British Novice and Discovery tracks with plenty more scope for the future. Demi is a beautifully put-together young mare by Damian (AES stallion), an Anglo European Studbook stallion with an impressive pedigree that includes top showjumping lines such as Quick Star and Indoctro. With her excellent breeding, kind temperament, and straightforward way of going, Demi is a quality allrounder suited to a variety of riders and homes.

On the flat, Demi is working well in the school with three established, balanced paces. She maintains a soft, consistent contact and would confidently go straight out at prelim level, where she is sure to produce an accurate and obedient test.

Demi has attended a number of training shows and clinics, most recently competing in a British Novice on a ticket at Elms Farm. A full Thoroughbred, though very much not your typical fine or weak type. He has substance, presence and a quality sports horse look about him, often passing as more of a traditional sport horse model. Importantly he is not ROR eligible, having never been in race training.

Bred at Gatcombe Park before being purchased by his current owners as a two-year-old, with his full history known. His dam competed as an event mare, whilst his sire was noted for his jumping ability, and he certainly reflects those attributes in both his attitude and natural athleticism.

A very handsome gelding with an excellent way of going. He works in a correct rhythm with a purposeful walk, a balanced and forward-thinking trot and a naturally uphill canter that is easy to maintain. He gives a lovely feel under saddle and is an enjoyable, uncomplicated ride.

He has jumped around courses of 80/90cm and proves to be an incredibly genuine and forgiving type over a fence. He is very much a push-button ride, happily helping his rider out and taking a miss without becoming offended or sharp.
