Sam has been to a few competitions, autumn hunter trialing, combined training and show jumping with good results. Hes very careful over a show jump with a great technique.

He goes well on the flat. came home with 2nd in a combined training class over the winter (his first time between the boards) 2nd UA dressage (prelim) and did some showing last summer. Where he won his both his in hand class, and ridden class before going reserve champion. His mother went to HOYS as a show hunter pony with me when I was younger and his dad has produced a few HOYS contenders both showing and show jumping, while others have been seen doing very well on the grassroots circuit! As you can imagine with this breeding he has very correct conformation and movement. He really is a head turner.

He’s a had good education and I plan to crack on with him BE in the coming season. Competed in a Cotswold cup at pontispool with 28.5 DC to finish 3rd. He’s brave xc not phased by any obstacles.

Hes good to hack alone or in company. Rides and leads. Not the sort that has to be ridden everyday.

Good to clip, shoe, travel, load etc…

Been hunting a handful of times, including joint meets. Really enjoyed the job and proved to be very well behaved and mannerly.

He will suit a confident pilot who just wants to crack on and have fun.

Outstanding Chestnut Blagdon Cob Mare For Sale “Lady” AKA Lady in Red

Beautiful homebred 3-year-old mare standing approx 15hh and currently still rump high, so expected to mature bigger.

Lady is truly not your everyday cob. She has all the qualities to make a serious future prospect and has been bred to stand out.
This is an incredibly difficult decision as I originally bred Lady to keep for myself, however with the girls’ riding now taking priority, unfortunately I just don’t have the time she deserves.

TGCA red passport with breeding recorded
Sired by a stunning Hermit silver buckskin and white fully graded stallion
Homebred from my stunning Greateaves mare, who I still own
Full sister also retained
Well handled since birth
Good to catch, clip, trim & travel
Sweet, kind temperament
Quiet enough for the girls to fuss and handle
Has done plenty of groundwork and long reining
Very mannerly and eager to please

I bred Lady with the aim of producing outstanding traditional cobs, and I truly believe she has all the attributes to become a superstar in the future.

A very genuine young mare with a lovely temperament and plenty of presence. She will only be sold to the very best home.

I have a selection of very exciting young horses that I am currently working with.

Finn: Skewbald cob x American paint horse gelding, 4 years old, to make 15hh

Ranger: chestnut Irish cob gelding, 3 years old, to make 15.2hh

Champ: black blagdon traditional cob gelding, 3 years old, to make 15hh

Khaleesi: palomino cob x Irish Draught mare, 4 years old, to make 15.2hh

Pippa: piebald traditional cob mare, 4 years old, to make 14.1hh

Chilli: piebald lighter weight cob gelding, 3 years old, to make 14.3hh

All of them are in the process of being professionally started, ridden away and produced by myself and all are at different stages. I will gladly take them through the whole journey, however if their perfect partner found us before this point I would be open to letting them go once they are confidently riding away in walk trot and canter. And their price would reflect the stage that they are at, at this point I would be looking for around £10,000 - £12,000
Once they are fully produced and are out competing and seeing the world I will be advertising them at around £15,000. Prices will vary depending on the individual horse but this is a rough guide.

All of them have passports and microchips, are fully vaccinated, up to date with teeth, physio and farrier (all are currently barefoot)
All of them are good to do in all ways and very well mannered.

I will be looking for experienced homes to continue their education and help them grow into the fabulous riding horses that I know that they are all going to be, so no novices please. I am never in a rush to sell and I will gladly take all of them right through to being fully produced and out competing and seeing the world, which is what I have always done for many years. So this is an opportunity that I have never offered before. I do appreciate that the cost of fully produced riding horses is high and not everyone has a budget that will reach this, so as I have said above I would be open to letting them go before they are fully produced if their perfect partner and forever home found us.

If you feel like any of them might be what you are searching for and want to know a bit more about them, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss whether they could be a potential match for you and to register interest to be on a wait list for them and I will gladly keep you updated with their progress.

No novices, no dealers, no riding schools, no loans, no payment plans.
Experienced forever homes only please, homes will be vetted, they are all very special horses who deserve the very best.

15hh cob x American paint horse gelding
4 years old

Finn has been professionally started and is currently being ridden away and then I will be producing him and getting him out competing, however if his perfect partner found us once he’s ridden away and before I have fully produced him I would consider selling him and price would reflect the stage that he was at at the time.

I did all the groundwork with him at end of summer/autumn last year as a 3 year old and sat on him a few times and then turned him away to mature over the winter.
I restarted him spring this year and he is now riding away currently in walk and trot.

Finn has very much enjoyed starting his education, he is a pleasure to work with. He is a very exciting young horse with so much potential to be a fantastic all rounder.

He happily lives in or out, he comes to call and loves a fuss and would stand all day to be groomed and bathed.
He is good to do in all ways and is very well mannered to handle.
He is fully vaccinated, has a passport and microchip, up to date with teeth, physio and farrier (he currently is barefoot with good strong feet)

I will be looking for an experienced home to continue his education and help him grow into the fabulous riding horse that I know he is going to be, so no novices please. I am in no rush at all and I will gladly take him right through to being fully produced and out competing and seeing the world. But as I’ve said above I would be open to letting him go before this point if his perfect partner found us.

I will be advertising him at £14,950 once fully produced.

Panda is a smart, talented young horse with a proven BE90 record and all the attributes to continue progressing up the levels.
Carefully and professionally produced with his future in mind, he has been given the time to develop into the genuine, straightforward event horse he is today.

On the flat, Panda works beautifully with three balanced, rhythmical paces and a trainable attitude. He is bold, honest and uncomplicated to a fence, taking everything in his stride without being spooky or sharp.

This season, Panda has successfully completed three BE90 events and is proving to be a confident and capable cross-country horse. Brave and genuine, he tackles skinnies, ditches, water, drops and combinations with ease, always looking for the flags and enjoying his job.

He has been competed by a young rider and is a fun, confidence-giving horse with the talent and temperament to make a top grassroots contender. Equally enjoyable at home and at competitions, he is a pleasure to have around.

Panda is snaffle mouthed in all 3 phases, hacks happily alone or in company and is excellent to handle in all respects. He is easy to catch, load, travel, shoe and clip, with a kind and straightforward nature on the ground.

A lovely young horse with a bright future ahead of him, Panda would suit an ambitious amateur, riding club rider or grassroots eventer looking for a competitive partner with plenty of potential still to come..

Louis is a super fun quality cob.

He has a very can do attitude to life and being ridden.

He has hunted once which he thoroughly enjoyed and looked the part at! He has been XC schooling, done a little unaff shows and a farm ride.

Louis came to us at A.E Equestrian early this year after his owner didn't feel quite suited to him, he had grown up in a big riding club environment and was considered a novice confidence giver but really he is more active than this. We then sold him to a family with a keen grand-daughter and family but he forgot his ground manners in this small environment and has come back!

All the above really detracts from the fantastic Welsh X cob he is. He hacks well, is great with traffic, pops small fences and might go and pop around local un-aff SJ next week time allowing. He just hasn't found the right people/ set up unfortunately. He really is a true RC/ PC all-rounder go getter! Would be fab for clinics, camps.

On the ground he is super with us. He banged the door on day one and is a bit of an attention seeker, especially if you over treat him, but otherwise he is hard to fault; clipping, shoeing, bathing etc all great. Lives in or out. Doesn't need riding daily etc. Hacks well alone, will ride and lead and regularly nannies young horses.

His flatwork could do with some supplying up but he is very willing and has not really had consistency of late.

Not wasted a present but too good to not be used! We will carry on over the supper and hopefully do a bit of eventing by the end of summer if not sold.

These types are so hard to find.

Too forward for a novice and has quite a Welsh way of going. Would really suit someone wanting to get out and ride and have fun.

Freya
15.3 4yr Friesian x cob mare

Freya was lightly backed last year in her previous home in walk and trot and did a few steady pleasure rides. She was then purchased by my client and given the autumn/winter off and brought back into work gently including groundwork, walking in the arena and some hacking from March.

She is currently working in walk and trot in the fields independently, responsive but not reactive, you can put your leg on without getting orbited! She tries hard to please and naturally works in a nice shape, she will be very smart. She is starting to find her balance and confidence in herself and showing some really nice work.
She has been ridden by an 11yr old and was very kind.

She is hacking well in company, happy to lead, not been phased by any of the traffic we have seen out and about, and used to the vehicles on the farm. She has been out alone with us with someone on foot, she looks at a bit more when alone and benefits from support and confidence from her rider, as you'd expect from most 4yr olds!

She enjoys some pole work and is careful where she puts her feet.

She 'parks' for a mounting block, she also longreins well, and lunges.
She settled really quickly, is happy in or out and is nice and easy to have around. She has no vices, but anything left within reach does go in her mouth!
She's good to catch, lead, load, travel, trim (barefoot), bath, for the vet etc.

She enjoys a groom and a fuss and is very loving.
We are looking for someone capable of carrying on producing her now, she'll do a number of jobs in time and be very versatile.
Due to her age she is not suitable for someone nervous/novice/1st horse/rusty, she needs someone capable of continuing her education properly and creating a partnership.

She's up to date with everything and passed a 2 stage vetting when purchased, although obviously open to another suitable vetting (she's not cantering 10m circles yet!).

Home is of top priority.
Price to include bridle and rugs.
No loans or trials
Please don't be offended if I ask for your experience/videos etc, it's important I don't waste anyone's time with unsuitable viewings and/or upset her with the wrong riders. She's very forgiving for her age but is just a baby!

If no answer please drop me a message and I'll ring back ASAP.
She is on sales livery.

Prior to this, he has been a family horse done a bit of everything low level, gone on hunts including bloodhounds drag hunts, has jumped everything asked of him. Competed unaffiliated dressage, show jumping and cross country has gone to xc, show jumping training, hacks alone or company.
We don’t hack out very much at Talland, but with his owner is fine in company, out hacking alone takes confidence from rider or someone on ground. Prior to coming to us, he was also in riding school for a year with Widbrook EC.

He lives in or out, with us is turned out in a herd and is very settled.

He would be most suited to a home where he will be kept busy, and have a varied lifestyle, perfect Riding Club all - rounder. He wouldn’t suit a happy hacking home, or a beginner home.

He has a fab temperament, and will make someone a great fun friend. Would suit a competent mother daughter share. He is good to handle on the ground, good to clip, trim, shoe etc. Good with the vet.

Mawenzi - KWPN x ID. By Vincent IV out of Monbeg Bell

A rare opportunity to purchase this lovely character who has become a huge part of our family since he was born. Lovingly and professionally cared for and made by his owner he has been out making sure he gets all the right experiences at the right times. He adores his work, just as happy to hack round the farm and roads as he is popping to the local showjumping centre, hunting or going to the beach.

He is well known out with the Coakham bloodhounds and also with the OSBWK. Highly recommended for his manners and sensible love for the sport. Comfortable with hounds and other horses all round him. Jumps rails , hedges and ditches in front or behind.

Schooling is easy for him, walk trot canter with both leads established. Basic lateral commands understood and practiced.

He is a brilliant hack, happy alone or in company and has seen plenty of traffic without worry. Calm and sensible to take in a trailer and lorry. Happily popping Show jumps both at home and at Felbridge showing a really promising technique and calm attitude. We have an extensive XC course on our doorstep which he loves visiting and already giving more nervous horses a lead over anything and everything. Would make a stunning working hunter with 10 inches of bone and a very eye catching way of going.

For sale as other youngsters coming along behind him and owner feels he has done absolutely everything he needs to do. Ideally we would love a hime that plans to do a mixture of everything with him as we feel he has a really promising future and know how much he loves to be the centre of attention

Open to vet and xrays. Vice free.

2-Year-Old Warmblood Appaloosa Gelding

By Summertime Blues out of Lowmilbourne Delilah (Grade A Appaloosa).

A lovely young gelding with a kind, affectionate nature and a clever, willing attitude. He has been kept at a livery yard and is easy to handle, making him a pleasure to have around.

Easy to handle
Kind, affectionate, and intelligent
Used to a busy livery yard environment
Expected to mature to approximately 16.3hh

With his quality breeding, good temperament, and athletic potential, he has all the makings of an exciting all-rounder for the future.

Reason for sale: Due to an upcoming move to Dubai, the difficult decision has been made to find him a new home. My priority is securing a healthy, long-term environment where he can continue to thrive, with plenty of turnout, grazing, and the care he deserves.

Only the very best home will be considered.
Open to sensible offers .
